Bransgore Rotary CIO – Summer 2026 Newsletter

As summer arrives and the village fills with sunshine, we are delighted to share the latest updates from Bransgore Rotary CIO. The past few months have been full of community events, support for worthy causes, and preparations for some of our biggest annual gatherings.

Bransgore Village Fun Day

This year’s Bransgore Village Fun Day was a fantastic success, filled with colour, creativity, and community spirit. From stilt walkers and vibrant crafts to the wonderful array of decorated hats, the day brought families together in true Bransgore style. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, joined in the fun, and helped make the event such a joyful celebration of village life.

Country Barn Dance

Our Country Barn Dance was a highlight of early summer, bringing an evening of music, dancing, and laughter to Harrow Wood Farm. We extend our warmest thanks to Dickie Frampton and his team for providing the venue, stage, music system, and their tireless support. The atmosphere was brilliant, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves under the summer sky.

Supporting Aquabox & MYTIME Young Carers

We are proud to support two organisations making a real difference. A donation of £250 to Aquabox will help provide essential water filtration and humanitarian aid to communities affected by disaster and conflict. We also contributed £1,000 to MYTIME Young Carers, supporting their vital work with young people who take on caring responsibilities at home. Both charities expressed their sincere thanks for helping them continue their life‑changing programmes.

New Forest Car Show – Sunday 5th July 2026

As we write, preparations are well underway for this year’s New Forest Car Show. The day will feature a fantastic display of classic and modern vehicles, a Big Summer Auto Jumble, refreshments, and plenty to enjoy for all ages. We look forward to welcoming everyone for what promises to be another great community event.

Bransgore Rotary Beer Festival – September 2026

Planning is in full swing for the 2026 Bransgore Rotary Beer Festival, one of our most anticipated events of the year. This year’s festival will include:

  • Around 75–80 beers from across the country
  • Local ciders and wines
  • Two stages offering 19 hours of live music
  • The return of Bransgore Gold, brewed especially for the festival
  • A vibrant atmosphere that fills The Three Tuns with music, community spirit, and great company

Advance tickets will be available online soon, keep an eye on www.bransgorerotary.com so you don’t miss one of the village’s favourite weekends.

A Rotary Flag on the Moon

A little‑known Rotary fact: a Rotary flag travelled to the Moon. During the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, astronaut Buzz Aldrin a long‑time supporter of community service carried several commemorative items on board, including a miniature Rotary flag. It returned safely to Earth and was later presented to Rotary International, making Rotary one of the few organisations with a symbol that has literally been to the Moon and back.

Wishing You a Wonderful Summer

Thank you for your continued support, enthusiasm, and community spirit. We look forward to seeing you at our events throughout the summer and celebrating everything that makes Bransgore such a vibrant and welcoming community.
