FUN DAY AND VILLAGE HAT COMPETITION

For many years now Bransgore Rotary CIO have been running an annual village Fun Day. It is an opportunity to bring together a large and varied section of the Bransgore community to enjoy a day of fun, games, entertainment, food and drink. There will be many stalls run by other charities along with local individual stall holders, both old and young. One year we had a young Scout raising funds in order that they could take part in The Scouting World Jamboree in South Korea. We have had dogs herding geese in the main arena, the usual amazing cake stall from the local WI, a raffle for beautiful displays of flowers run by The Bransgore Flower Club, in fact all of the things you would expect at a village Fun Day.
Last year our Rotary Club raised around £3000 on the day and following a survey of all other charties involved it is estimated that around £20,000 was raised in total for “good causes”
An event to be proud of!
2025 will be a little different!
This year we will be introducing “The Greatest Hat in Bransgore” competition All Rotarians and partners will wear a hat that they have personally created and our visitors will be encouraged to do the same. Entrants will join in from the local Pre–School, Primary School, local groups and many other villagers.
There will be prizes for the best hat in various categories:
Best Pre School Boy and Girl
Best under 16 Boy and Girl
Best Adult Male and Female
Best Stallholder Unisex
Best Rotarian and Partner Male and Female
The day will be full of colour, fun and amazing hat creations. We can’t wait!
